Microsoft Cloud, Email, and Identity

How Microsoft licensing, email, SSO, identity administration, and Microsoft security add-ons fit into the service model.

Service Guide Version: 2026-04-21

Microsoft licensing is usually a separate line item from managed support. The license provides the Microsoft service. Managed administration, support, migrations, security hardening, and tenant redesign are included only where selected or explicitly approved in writing.

What Microsoft licensing covers

Microsoft licenses provide Microsoft cloud services such as email, office applications, identity features, SSO capability, security add-ons, and related Microsoft service rights according to Microsoft plan terms.

License names, prices, plan features, and availability may change based on Microsoft, distributor, government cloud availability, or New Commerce Experience rules.

Common included administration when in scope

  • User account creation, disabling, and basic account maintenance.
  • Group, mailbox, and distribution list administration.
  • Basic MFA and sign-in troubleshooting.
  • Routine email, calendar, and Microsoft 365 user support.
  • Basic license assignment and adjustment according to the Order Form.
  • Standard support for covered users using Microsoft cloud services.

Excluded Microsoft project work

The following Microsoft services are not included and will be billed separately unless explicitly stated in writing:

  • Microsoft tenant migration.
  • Email migration from another provider.
  • Identity redesign, domain consolidation, or major SSO architecture changes.
  • Conditional access redesign or advanced governance project.
  • Compliance center configuration, eDiscovery, retention policy design, or legal hold work.
  • Large-scale Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, or file migration projects.
  • Security remediation after compromise beyond initial containment.

Administrative authority

Cloud Core MSP may require appropriate administrative access to provide Microsoft administration and support. Removing or limiting required access can limit support scope until access is restored or responsibilities are redefined.

Client and third-party changes to tenant configuration should be coordinated when those changes affect identity, security, mail flow, access, compliance settings, or service delivery.

Licensing and pass-through changes

Microsoft, distributors, taxes, and government cloud programs may change pricing, feature packaging, renewal rules, cancellation rules, or available SKUs. Those changes may be passed through or reflected in future Order Forms.

Licensing charges, Microsoft price changes, taxes, and pass-through vendor fees may change upon written notice and are governed by the current Order Form or provider pricing.
